:RBQ ^D&Tu 4.somebody didn't do their due diligence on this guy.
9s9K+Kx+T? ]f*B due diligence:

S6h"K `pBn p 9.you are on your own4jeV:c _c-P
on one's own: 这里是说,你要靠自己了。

10.right as rain)^%K v_5@ L?h"}T
right as…… 狄更斯的《匹克威克外传》中就有Right as a trivet的说法。
e {j5]+LvN4f0@
6a0_ N VG's(| Q2f 11.a man has a beef with another, he makes his problem known.F(^4Y}6B K(X3\
He wouldn't listen to my beef against his subordinates.
'g;j1~@"Y2a_/d
IA%FX5Gp 而have beef with someone的意思是wanting a fight with them. A person having something against someone else or wanting an argument or a fightz5? `c,j

m)Wzw:M {#ia7^X
i&XvLw P)K 12.throw the glove down on you
O1NT EA| qJ throw the glove on,把手套扔在谁身上,其实就是和人决斗。 L$s;z'y~O
;Kxx{ td.jT
13.then you are gonna have to run an errand for me
)g5|cb!Kz,l9c errand:a short trip that is taken in the performance of a necessary task or mission。你要替我跑腿。)S"\J3xr.G{

%W#C_8n"A[6k 14.I wash my hands of both of them
;R};T(l|^ v.N~ wash one's hands:to absolve oneself of responsibility or future blameC(Vb3{^ h
If you persist in disregarding my advice, I shall wash my hands of the whole business. I1Jv;@-fj+n

15.go for the kneecapcW(u1?'N.^]h
o"q9D3C/{f C8?

(D:bCy.Pi 16.give me a break
|_YcO+P? 然后林肯说,我就是去见个人,give me a break. 所以后来课间休息我也都说let's have a break.
