在新的MCSD考试中,其中一门新增的必考科目,主要集中于利用Visual Basic.NET或Visual C#.NET开发XML的网上服务.而要取得MCAD认证,并不需考MCSD所需的解決方案架构(solution architecture)这一门试,只需考网络程式开发(web application development)或视窗程式开发(Windows application development)这两类考试中的其中一门,加上一门网络服务和伺服器组件(web services and server components)以及另外一科可任意选考的考试.详情如下：
网络程式开发部分(Web Application Development)
Exam 70-305—Developing and Implementing Web Applications with Microsoft Visual Basic .NET and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (2002年6月推出)
Exam 70-315—Developing and Implementing Web Applications with C# and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (2002年6月推出)
MCSD须在这部分中通过其中一门考试
视窗程式开发部分(Windows Application Development)
Exam 70-306—Developing and Implementing Windows-based Applications with Microsoft Visual Basic .NET and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (2002年6月推出)
Exam 70-316—Developing and Implementing Windows-based Applications with C# and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (2002年6月推出)
MCSD须在这部分中通过其中一门考试,MCAD则须通过以上两部分中的其中一门考试
网络服务和伺服器组件部分(Web Services and Server Components)
Exam 70-310—Developing XML Web Services and Server Components with Microsoft Visual Basic .NET and the Microsoft .NET Framework (2002年8月推出)
Exam 70-320—Developing XML Web Services and Server Components with Microsoft Visual C# and the Microsoft .NET Framework (2002年8月推出)
MCAD及MCSD都须在这部分中通过其中一门考试
解決方案架构部分(Solution Architecture Exam)
Exam 70-300—Analyzing Requirements and Defining .NET Solution Architectures(2003年2月推出,这一门考试为所有MCSD必考科目,MCAD并不需要考这门试)
此外再加上在其他可供任意选考的科目中任考一科通过,这样就构成了MCAD的全部三科考试,以及MCSD的五科考试.
这些考试大多已在今年四月推出测试版,之后在六月就会正式推出.但是,MCSD其中的一门必考科目70-300(Analyzing Requirements and Defining .NET Solution Architectures)却要最早等到2003年年头才推出,微软解释用这么久的时间去准备是为了防止试题错误,防止出现试题错误情況的精神是可嘉的,但对于从事IT行业的人來说,要用1年的时间去筹备一门考试无疑是太缺乏效率了.
